I have so many of them, it's a little hard to keep track sometimes. Big and small, impossible and feasible, all of it.

For as long as I can remember, I've dreamed of going into space. The stars are some of the most beautiful things I've ever seen, and I am such a scifi girl - Star Wars and Star Trek, Andromeda, all of it. I wanted to be an astronaut for the longest time. I don't exactly want to do that as a career anymore, but give me the opportunity to fly to the moon or Mars, or hell, just sit in orbit for an hour, and I will grab it with all four limbs and never let it go. There are so many things on Earth that you just can't grasp from pictures, you have to see in person, y'know? How 'bout the Earth itself? :P

My other great love is books. Books and solitude and quiet. Some of my fondest memories from growing up were spent in the library. And you get to tell people to be quiet, too! This is the one I'm working towards, working as a librarian. If I could intern at the Library of Congress - nevermind actually work there - that would be a dream come true.

I've got lots of smaller-yet-unrealistic ones, too. Visit all of the world's largest/most beautiful caves, win the lottery and pay off all of my family's various debt, being a famous author, having an exhibit of my photography...lots of little things, but fun things to work on. :)

I honestly don't even remember your name? You're an old, rotund gentleman with a deep, bellowing voice who wore shorts all the time and delivered a four-hour lecture completely from memory, no notes, no references - nothing. And you are amazing. I took the class mainly because otherwise I'd have to take two separate classes for the price of one category, and I figured "Eh, a four-hour lecture on a Friday afternoon can't be that bad." And I was right!

I'm glad you had the breaks, trust me, I needed them. But every second you spoke I was enraptured. Up until your class I'd had my heart set on going into library science, working with books and quiet, and to be honest, that's still my ultimate goal. But you helped me fall in love with politics. Not the politicking - trust me, I have no desire whatsoever to become a politician. But the process and the theory of politics, the science... I've always found politics to be fascinating, and have spent the better part of my life tinkering with various different forms of governments for dozens of stories I want to write, but I never thought about truly studying politics, doing it for my career. I'm honestly still not entirely sure what I would do with a degree in politics? But I'm going to try, and I'm going to master it, and I can't thank you enough for pointing me in that direction.
